DID YOU KNOW?!
The Town of Savannah, NY is in southeast Wayne County, and borders both Seneca and Cayuga Counties. It is about halfway between the cities of Rochester (60 mi) and Syracuse (40 mi) and halfway between Lake Ontario (12 mi) and the Finger Lakes (12 mi).
Savannah has amazing rural scenery, points of interest, rich farmland, history, and economically is part of the "Finger Lakes Region." The Erie Canalway Trail is 365 miles of the 750-mile Empire State Trail, and Savannah residents helped get this Trail redirected through Savannah, instead of bypassing it completely. Research shows "bicyclists bring business" and we plan to grow as a bike friendly community.
Savannah is also home to the Montezuma Audubon Center, which along with important migrating birds, attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year. The now annual Festival of Races brings hundreds of cyclists, runners, and kayakers to Savannah.
Savannah continues to evolve with economic changes. Come learn more about the opportunities and become part of the future of Savannah!
